Commander of Egyptian Air Force Meets His Chinese Counterpart
As part of the Egyptian Armed Forces General Command keenness to enhance areas of military cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries, Air Force Commander, Lieutenant General Mahmoud Foaad Abdel Gawad, met with Star General Chang Dingqiu, Commander of the Chinese Air Force, in Beijing upon an invitation from the Chinese side.
The meeting included discussions on topics of mutual interest and opened new prospects between the Air Forces of both countries through cooperation and strategic partnership in several areas, notably training, joint manufacturing, and advanced technology transfer, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
During the visit, the Air Force Commander also met with the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Chinese Air Force, the Director of Equipment and Technology Cooperation Management at the Chinese Army, the Chairman of the Board of CATIC, and the CEO of NORINCO. He also visited Tangshan Air Force Base and witnessed a flying display featuring J-10 C fighter aircraft performed by the Chinese August 1st Aerobatic Team.
